What is 3CX Phone System?

3CX is a software-based phone system. You buy the software license based on your business needs and then install and configure it on a computer server, on-premise or on the cloud. The 3CX licenses come in 3 different editions; Standard, PRO and Enterprise. While the Standard edition is the basic pack of features, PRO is the best match for SMB businesses unless Enterprise features such as MS-Teams integration and start/stop call recording are required. 3CX licenses also come in different sizes, from 4SC (Simultaneous Calls) to 1024SC. The SC you need depends on the maximum number of simultaneous internal and external calls you want to make and receive (simultaneously) during peak times. Each active internal or external call in the 3CX system will consume 1SC.

Installation and Configuring the system

Once the appropriate license is obtained, the installation and configuration of the system will commence. This include but not limited to below tasks;

  1. Server installation (choice of on-premise or on the cloud)
  2. External calls’ routing configuration (SIP or analogue Trunk)
  3. Endusers clients’ configuration (IP-Deskphone, Mobile app or PC)

The Standard edition is free for the first year and prices shown are for the 2nd year onwards. 4SC Standard is always FREE.
4SC PRO and Enterprise are also free but only for the first year.

In case you just need a hand with initial installation and setup we can offer 3CX pre-configuration service. Once you request this service we will send you a site checklist and 3CX configuration sheet which must be completed before we can commence the work. Basic requirements for any new site include, but not limited to; a suitable Internet Connection, proper Firewall Configuration, and Networking/Switching/Cabling.
